Question
Is it a deal breaker if you don't connect with someone with Humor?
What if he has everything else but you just can not connect in that way, like he doesn't have the same sense of humor as you. Or that part just does not connect.
Is that a deal breaker?

Does it feel like a deal breaker?

Will talk to husband tonight about trip to see you.

It's really starting to.

Then it just might be.

I think you need a pros and cons list. And a margarita night, with me.

Chris said...

Yes I do;)! The problem is, thus the question, there are more things on the pros list than the con which has only two things--one being the nonsense of humor. Seriously, is this me?? Am I destined to be a spinster for life?

Karen said...

No, you're not destined to be a spinster. Don't let that fear cause you to just settle. Your heart has to be in it, and I'm not sensing much of that.

Um, do I know the other thing?? :-)

Chris said...

Yes, but I guess there are three things.

Anyone else out there?

Karen said...

Nope, just me!

:-)

I am out here, I think if it is already a concern for you then it is a valid concern. You are not destined to be a spinster and I agree with Karen, don't ever settle. Maybe I am corny but I just think you "KNOW"...

I do think you are both very right! Thank you!! Full-frontals for both of you!

can you teach a guy how to be funny?

what happens if he has four beers? is he funny then?
not that you'd want a guy who had to drink four beers before you found him attractive.

dang.

Chris said...

Beer or no beer, not funny. And no, I don't think you can teach anyone to be funny. You either have it or your don't. Anyway, I told him today that I don't think it will work for us to date. But I am hoping we will stay friends though. He offered to continue teaching me how to play my guitar. Things ended very well actually. Can you believe in three months, I never kissed him? That should have been a clue also.

ok, Carey, you are funny!
Chris- Sorry to hear it didn't work out, yeah no kissing in 3 months, that would be a sign

i think the deal breaker is the fact that you are thinking about a deal breaker :)

i am glad you broke it off. God is not a God of "okay" :)

i've just been catching on this and wow, where have i been??

No kissing, no funny, even after beer...no deal.

You made the right choice if you ask me. Glad he's still going to teach you guitar. Sounds like a good deal!
